Stettiner Hütte – Reconstruction After Avalanche Disaster
In 2014, the Stettiner Hütte was hit by an avalanche. Due to the extensive damage, the hut had to be completely demolished. Renovation or refurbishment would not have been worthwhile in that case – for safety reasons, those affected opted for this solution. It was clear from the outset that only a reconstruction of the Stettiner Hütte would be considered.
Since 2017, thanks to the emergency plan, some overnight guests can be accommodated. After the major accident, several wooden huts were built, offering many mountaineers an option for sleeping or resting. Of course, this also ensured that meals could be provided again.

Timmelsjoch Snow Clearance 2021
Due to its high alpine location, crossing the pass is not possible all year round. The road usually opens its gates at the end of May and is then passable for about five months until November. Of course, it is important that you consider the opening hours for the respective year. In 2021, the road will open on June 10. The Timmelsjoch snow clearance 2021 is completed by this date, and the road is safe for traffic. The pass may only be used between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
