These are the general advantages of Merino

Fresh for days

Merino binds odor molecules – ideal for travel & multi-day tours. At the same time, it often protects with UPF 20–50.

Climate Comfort

Cools when warm, warms when cold - the fiber regulates moisture & temperature in a particularly natural way.

Sustainable & pleasant

Fine merino fibers are soft on the skin and come from a renewable, biodegradable raw material.

Merino Shirts for Men & Women – CloudBlend vs. Essential

BERGMENSCH merino shirts combine natural function with European manufacturing. Our fibers are particularly fine (16.5–18.5 µm) and therefore soft on the skin. CloudBlend relies on a blend of merino, TENCEL™ Lyocell, and elastane (160 g/m²) – this ensures a silky-cool feel and fast drying.

Essential consists of 85% Merino, 15% Polyamide and weighs 130 g/m² – durable for everyday use. Both lines are breathable, temperature-regulating and remain odor-neutral for a long time – ideal for hiking, travel and as a base layer. Our wool is 100% mulesing-free.
